What are the license fees for altered dogs?

A:

As of June 3, 2006 the license fee for altered dogs will be $20.00

   

Q:

What are the license fees for unaltered dogs?

A:

As of June 3, 2006 the license fee for unaltered dogs will be $60.00. Unaltered dog licenses will only be issued after a dog owner demonstrates compliance with the unaltered license requirements.

   

Q:

What are the license fees for altered dogs belonging to seniors?

A:

License fees for dogs belonging to seniors are $7.50.

What are the license fees for an unaltered dog belonging to seniors?

A:

These licenses are $60.00.

   

Q:

How are licenses fees used by the Department?

A:

License fees are used to help support the Department’s operations. Capturing strays, caring for lost or abandoned animals, removing dead animals from the streets, investigating cases of animal abuse and neglect, rescuing animals from danger such as wildfires and floods are just some of these activities. In addition, $5.00 from each license will be set aside into the low-cost spay/neuter assistance fund to issue vouchers to low income and senior pet owners.
