Lost & Found: Where to go to Find Your Lost Dog

WHERE TO GO TO FIND YOUR LOST DOG

In the Los Angeles area there are 21 animal shelters. The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care & Control’s six animal shelters are located in Downey, Carson, Baldwin Park, Lancaster, Castaic, and Agoura. When you are looking for your lost pet, it is important to understand that depending on where your pet was lost, he or she could be in more than one animal shelter, as shelter areas border one another. Listed below are the six Los Angeles County Animal Shelters. Depending on where you live, we highly recommend you visit the other shelters, indicated below when looking for your lost pet as their service areas border Los Angeles County's. We know that service areas can be difficult to understand, if you have any questions, please call your nearest Los Angeles County Animal Shelter.
