The Los Angels County Animal Care Foundation (ACF) is in need of donations to support the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) in its mobilization of resources and personnel to assist the communities of Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and other communities in danger in response to the ongoing fire evacuations. The ACF and DACC are dedicated to providing support for animal sheltering and evacuation efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of pets, livestock, and their owners during this challenging time.
The ACF’s Noah’s Legacy Fund exists to provide emergency rescue supplies and equipment to keep pets and livestock safe during these emergencies. Funds go towards animal rescue, sheltering, food, medical care, and support for families to care for their animals after the emergency.
The ACF, DACC, and animals and their families in danger will be grateful for the public’s support. Donations may be made on the ACF’s website at www.lacountyanimals.org. The ACF is a four-star rated charity with Charity Navigator and has received a Platinum Transparency rating from Candid.
About the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation (ACF)
The ACF supports DACC through fundraising programs for spay-and-neuter programs, pet adoptions, public education, emergency response, preventing animal cruelty, and enhancing care for animals in DACC’s seven animal care centers.
About the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC)
DACC is one of the largest animal care and control agencies in the nation, operating seven animal care centers and providing services to more than three million residents and their pets. DACC operates under the nationally recognized Socially Conscious Sheltering model to ensure the best possible outcomes for animals and the community. As a community resource center for pets and owners, DACC protects people and animals from harm, provides care for lost and unwanted animals, reunites lost pets with their families, and strives every day to move closer to its goal of finding a loving home for every adoptable pet that comes through its doors. To learn more about DACC, the resources DACC provides, and view its animals, visit https://animalcare.lacounty.gov or follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
