LANCASTER, Calif -- On Wednesday June 20, the Department of Animal Care and Control rescued more than 20 horses from an owner in the area of 247th East Street in Lancaster. The Department had responded to a call regarding a deceased horse and found several horses that appeared severely emaciated and in need of immediate veterinary care.
