Volunteer With Us
Weâre excited to welcome young people and community groups who want to make a difference in the lives of animals and support LA County Animal Care & Control.
Whether youâre looking to earn service hours, complete a scout project, or plan a group volunteer day, we have options to help you get involved.
Youth under the age of 16 cannot volunteer onsite at our Animal Care Centers, but they can still help animals in meaningful ways through DIY service projects. These projects can be done at home, at school, or with a club, and all completed items can be donated to support the pets in our care.
Examples include:
⢠Making dog and cat toys
⢠Making dog bandanas
⢠Making holiday decorations
DIY projects are a great way to earn service hours and support your communityâperfect for classrooms, clubs, or individuals.
