This website was created to allow the community a forum to provide tips to the Department of Animal Care & Control to aid with its investigations on illicit dog breeding. There is no requirement to provide your personal information, however not doing so could result in a failure for us to properly investigate should we have follow-up questions. By voluntarily providing information, you are consenting to the departments use of the information. Any information you provide on this website will be used for investigative purposes and may be shared as required by law. Department of Animal Care & Control is a public agency, and as such, it is statutorily obligated to comply with the State of California Public Records Act as defined in Ca. Government Code § 6250 et. seq. Whenever legally appropriate, the Department makes every effort to protect an individual’s right to privacy. However, you should be aware that information you submit to the Department is subject to the Public Records Act and under certain circumstances, the Department may be required to disclose some or all of the information that you submit in accordance with the Public Records Act or by order of the Court.
