NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH

June is National Pet Preparedness Month and the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) reminds all pet owners to create an emergency plan if you don’t already have one. While you should be prepared for pet emergencies year-round, this month serves as a reminder to ensure you and your pets are prepared for an emergency.

PRESS RELEASE: MORE THAN 20 HORSES RESCUED

LANCASTER, Calif -- On Wednesday June 20, the Department of Animal Care and Control rescued more than 20 horses from an owner in the area of 247th East Street in Lancaster. The Department had responded to a call regarding a deceased horse and found several horses that appeared severely emaciated and in need of immediate veterinary care.
