A “Notice of Violation and Administrative Fine,” commonly known as an administrative citation, is an alternative enforcement tool that may be used instead of a criminal citation for specified violations of Los Angeles County Code (LACC).
Title 10 of the Los Angeles County Code that are expressly authorized to be enforced in that manner.
The sections subject to enforcement by administrative citation are:
LACC §10.20.030: License—Required—Fees and Other Charges;
LACC §10.28.060 License – Required for Certain Activities and Animals – Certain Animals;
LACC §10.20.180 Tag to be Worn by Animal;
LACC §10.20.185: Microchipping of Dogs and Cats Required;
LACC §10.20.220: Vaccination Requirements;
LACC §10.20.350 Mandatory Spaying and Neutering of Dogs and Cats;
LACC §10.32.010: Dog at Large; or
LACC §10.38.010 Keeping of Roosters;
LACC §10.40.060: Excessive Animal Noise
